The hypocrisy of Google

I know I'm not the first to make this observation — and Google knows it — but they simply don't seem to care about the cavernous contradiction between their two primary objectives: making money and fighting spam.

On the one hand, Google is constantly changing its algorithm to fight spam on the Internet, and with each arbitrary update, innocent non-spamming sites are penalized for accidentally fitting the profile. On the other hand, Google is paying the real spammers to continue doing what they do, by allowing its AdSense ads on obvious spam sites.

I also know I'm not the only one who can rarely find the search result I'm looking for without having to wade through tons of spammy crap.

WTF Google? Spammers spam because you have made it so lucrative to do so. Please stop the hypocrisy.
